Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a key player, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing cloud-based solutions across platforms like Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Microsoft Azure. Your role will encompass a broad range of responsibilities, from cloud security to cost optimization and automation, ensuring our cloud infrastructure is secure, efficient, and scalable.
Responsibilities
- Design & Implement Cloud Solutions: Develop and deploy scalable, reliable, and secure cloud architectures across GCP, AWS, and Azure environments, incorporating best practices and industry standards.
- Cloud Security: Implement and manage security controls, including IAM, VPC, network security, encryption, and identity management, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Cost Optimization: Analyze cloud usage patterns and trends, optimize cloud costs by leveraging pricing models, and implement cost management tools to achieve financial efficiency.
- Automation & Scripting: Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools using languages like Python or PowerShell to streamline cloud operations and enforce security policies.
- Performance Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Set up monitoring systems to track performance, detect issues, and respond promptly to any incidents, ensuring high availability and reliability of cloud services.
- Collaboration & Leadership: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, IT operations, and compliance, to integrate cloud solutions into overall business processes. Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership within the team.
- Cloud Migration & Integration: Lead cloud migration efforts, integrating legacy systems with cloud services, and ensuring seamless data transfer and minimal downtime.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest cloud technologies and best practices, driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and security of cloud operations.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years in cloud engineering roles, with significant experience in GCP, AWS, and Azure environments.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructures, with a strong understanding of cloud security, networking, and cost optimization.
- Security & Compliance: Hands-on experience with security tools and technologies, as well as knowledge of compliance standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI DSS.
- Automation & Scripting: Strong skills in automation using scripting languages like Python or PowerShell, and experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
- Cost Management: Proven ability to analyze cloud usage, optimize costs, and implement cost management strategies.
- Certifications: Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are highly desirable.
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to lead projects and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
